Penn State Berks to host Student and Community Engagement Symposium, April 17

The Student and Community Engagement Symposium will provide an opportunity for faculty, staff, administrators and community members to connect, share experiences, and explore innovative approaches to student and community engagement and engaged scholarship. It will be held from 8:15 a.m. – 4:15 p.m., Wednesday, April 17, in the Perkins Student Center Multipurpose Rooms 1 and 2 at Penn State Berks.

Penn State Berks hosts Startup Week events, March 15-22

Penn State Berks will host a slate of events from March 15-22 in honor of Penn State Startup Week powered by PNC, a University-wide event that takes place every spring and brings leading minds in entrepreneurship and innovation to Penn State campuses across the commonwealth. The week features entrepreneurial workshops, networking events, student pitch competitions, and presentations from startup founders and corporate innovators, including many Penn State alumni.

Berks hosts lecture on mass of everyday objects via particle physics perspective

Temple University Professor of Physics Andreas Metz will present “Understanding the mass of everyday objects from the perspective of particle physics” on Wednesday, March 27. A reception will begin at 4 p.m. in the college’s Freyberger Gallery and the lecture begins at 4:30 p.m. in the Perkins Student Center Auditorium. This event is free and open to the public.

Penn State Berks raises over $34,000 for THON 2024

The Berks Benefitting THON student organization raised $34,090.75 and earned the fifth spot among Penn State Commonwealth Campuses. The results were announced at the end of the 46-hour dance marathon to benefit Four Diamonds on Feb. 18.

Penn State Berks is celebrating its history while preparing students for the future through National Engineers Week events and activities, to be held Feb. 19 to 23. While the college’s roots in engineering date back to 1927, Penn State has offered engineering degrees for more than 125 years.

Penn State Berks to send four dancers to THON 2024, host send-off week

Penn State Berks is showing support for the four student dancers who are representing the college at THON, the University's dance marathon which benefits families battling pediatric cancer. There will be a dancer send-off from 12:15 to 1:15 p.m. Thursday, Feb. 15, in Multipurpose Room 2, located on the second floor of the Perkins Student Center, where faculty, staff and fellow students will gather to wish the dancers well.
